How I made my double page spread proof

Un-airbrushed photograph

Hilary Duff - 2006 Brian Bowen Smith Photoshoot For Seventeen Magazine, October Issue
Airbrushed photograph

The first thing I did was manipulate my photograph using adobe Photoshop. I increased the vibrancy of my photograph ,I brightened highlights in her hair and brightened the colour in her eye in order to make it appear sparkly and mysterious as my research above has shown me.I also cropped the photograph so that her face would be more focused as my research above has shown me.As you can see above Photo-shop enables to emphasize  the beauty of the model chosen because it removes blemishes  as you can see from the un-airbrushed version of the photograph to the airbrushed, the models lines in her face when she smiles have been ironed out,her eyes appear a lot brighter and her face more angular.Greater detail on how I manipulated the photograph will be featured in my evaluation question 6.

Draft double page spread

I need to improve the focus of the text because it is fuzzy and unreadable, but above is the work I have done so far.I also need to tighten up the alignment of the information presented at the bottom of the article such as the date, the website address, the masthead and the page number also.

Deatailed double page spread research

I have combined both of my original ideas  and have come to the decision
that  I want to use this as the basis for my final double page spread layout.

Draft contents page

I need to tighten up the alignment of my  of the page numbers in my contents table and the features below the contents page  like the page number, the magazines website and the date.I also need to increase the display performance of my photographs because on in-design this is automatically lowered when a photograph is imported.I also need to justify the text featured in the contents page.

This along with the research above are the basis for my inspiration I like the idea of incorporating over sized font onto my double page I think it looks slick, stylish and sophisticated this is elements which I wish to incorporate as part of my magazine, above are preliminary drawings based on these ideas.
